Partition Summary

Download Server Manager Guide

The Partition Summary page in Longview Server Manager provides an overview of your system’s partitioning configuration, including the configured partitions, partitioning dimensions, and corresponding values.

Accessing the Partition Summary page

To view partition information :

1. Open Longview Server Manager.

2. On the home page, locate the Functionality section.

3. Click Partition summary.

Viewing partition information

The page displays a summary of your system’s partitioning configuration and, when multiple partitions are configured, a table of partition details.

For example: Your system is using partitioning configured with 5 partitions, partitioned on dimension(s) ACCOUNTS, TIMEPER, ENTITIES, CONTROLS.

This message indicates that partitioning is enabled, five partitions are configured, and the partitioning dimensions are ACCOUNTS, TIMEPER, ENTITIES, and CONTROLS.

Note: The message varies depending on your system’s configuration.

Understanding the partition details table

When multiple partitions are configured, the page displays a table containing the partition names and their corresponding dimension values.

Column Description
Partition name Identifies the partition, such as P0, P1, P2, P3, or P4.

ACCOUNTS

Displays the value for the ACCOUNTS dimension.

TIMEPER

Displays the value for the TIMEPER dimension.

ENTITIES

Displays the value for the ENTITIES dimension.

CONTROLS

Displays the value for the CONTROLS dimension.

In the example above, five partitions (P0–P4) are configured. Each row displays the corresponding values for the four partitioning dimensions.

Searching Partition Information

Use the Search field to find specific information in the partition details table.

  1. Click the Search field.
  2. Enter a partition name or dimension value.
  3. Review the matching results.

Clear the search text to view the full table again.

Partition Summary Availability

The Partition Summary page is accessible regardless of whether the Data Server is running. The information displayed depends on your system's partitioning configuration.

If only one partition is configured, the partition details table is hidden, and a summary message describes the configuration.
