Using Lineos AI

Lineos AI provides AI-powered assistance within the Longview Add-In for Office. Depending on your assigned authorizations, you can use the following AI features:

• Data Assist – Analyze worksheet data and generate AI-powered insights.
• Text Assist – Summarize, rewrite, or improve text content.
• Report Assist – Generate summaries and insights for Longview reports.

You can access Lineos AI from the LONGVIEW ribbon or directly from the Microsoft Excel context menu.

Note: The available AI features depend on your assigned user authorizations and your organization's licensed AI capabilities.

Accessing Lineos AI

To open Lineos AI:

1. Open Microsoft Excel with the Longview Add-In for Office installed.
2. On the LONGVIEW tab, click Lineos AI.

The Lineos pane opens on the right side of the worksheet.

Using Data Assist

Use Data Assist to analyze selected worksheet data and receive AI-generated insights.

To analyze worksheet data:

1. Select the worksheet data that you want to analyze.
2. Right-click the selected cells.
3. Select Data analysis with Lineos.

The Lineos pane opens automatically with the Data Assist tab selected. Review the AI-generated analysis or enter additional prompts to continue your analysis.

You can also access Data Assist by opening the Lineos pane and selecting the Data Assist tab.

Using Text Assist

Use Text Assist to summarize, rewrite, or improve text content.

To summarize text from a worksheet:

1. Select the text that you want to summarize.
2. Right-click the selected text.
3. Select Text summarization with Lineos.

The Lineos pane opens automatically with the Text Assist tab selected. Review the generated summary or enter additional prompts to refine the results.

You can also access Text Assist by opening the Lineos pane and selecting the Text Assist tab.

Using Report Assist

Use Report Assist to generate summaries and insights for Longview reports.

To use Report Assist:

1. Open the Lineos pane.
2. Select the Report Assist tab.
3. Enter your prompt or request.
4. Review the AI-generated response.
